Frequently asked questions

  • We hold our monthly clinic every 2nd Saturday of the month. There is no appointment or medical insurance required to attend our free health clinics.

    When you arrive, check in with our Registration team, follow health guidelines, and we’ll do our best to assist you with all of your health questions.

  • A community member can expect to be greeted by our registration team as soon as they walk through the door.

    They will be paired with a health coach and interpreter, if required. The health coach will help the community member with their vitals and assist in navigating them through various professional students - physical therapy, pharmacy, medical - and address any important questions the community members comes in with.

    Finally, the health coach will work the community member on setting health goals with confidence.

  • Mask guidelines vary by location, setting, and current public health conditions. In general, masks are still recommended in healthcare settings, especially when respiratory illnesses could be spread. Our volunteers all wear masks to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses.

    Individuals who are sick or immunocompromised, are advised to wear a mask.

  • All ages and backgrounds are welcome, regardless of medical insurance. Please note that MHC is located in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMa) District and are well suited to accommodate Filipino-Americans.

  • Yes, we have interpreters who speak Tagalog and Spanish.

  • No, you do not have to be Filipinx to attend our clinics. All ages and backgrounds are welcome and respected from the moment you enter our clinic space.

  • Yes, MHC holds its annual MHC day during December where we celebrate our community members. We also have Youth programs that provides health education through monthly health curricula and health-oriented activities at monthly carnival events.
